My Problem with using an airplane to have more time with family is driving to the airport and then I’m required to show up one hour before flight time, then there is those 3 hour layovers to switch planes and hope your luggage isn’t lost Then time taken and cost incurred with a rental car and it’s return and the flight leaves at a time to early, or late, compared to just getting in a fully charged vehicle, driving for three hours, taking a well deserved time out to grab a coffee, and/or a sandwich, take a pee, answer an email or text or return a call (about 45 to 60 min).
